The 2026 VicMasters season gets underway this Saturday, and Round 1 is shaping up to be a cracker.

We're heading to Moorabbin to join Bayside Masters RFC at Dane Rd Reserve — and we're not going alone. The QLD XXXX Goldies, a touring Masters side from Brisbane, will be making the trip south to play alongside us. It's a fantastic way to open the season, with a bit of interstate flavour and the kind of touring spirit that makes Masters rugby special.

Better still, there's a full afternoon of rugby on offer. Powerhouse host Brimbank in two grades of Dewar Shield action from 1.30pm, before the Masters game kicks off at approximately 4.45pm.

Full day schedule

• 1.30pm — 2nd Grade: Powerhouse vs Brimbank

• 3.15pm — 1st Grade: Powerhouse vs Brimbank

• 4.45pm — VicMasters (with QLD XXXX Goldies)
